"RSI was life changing. It allowed me to push myself at a really young age to do some really interesting academic work that I wouldn’t have had access to living in rural Indiana. That was huge for me in terms of getting me ready for college and my career."

"I enjoy the interaction with professionals and try to bring some of their information into my classroom to help my students make real world connections."

- Peggy Whitlock, science teacher at Patrick Henry High School in Ashland, VA

The USABO has served as a vehicle to explore the breadth and depth of the biological sciences...from doing microbiological labs to attending lectures by world-class scientists describing their groundbreaking research. I have made life-long friends who share similar passions.

CEE's Mission

To nurture high school and university scholars to careers of excellence and leadership in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM), and to encourage international collaboration between and among leaders in the global community.

Each summer, 80 of the world's most accomplished high school students gather at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) for the Research Science Institute (RSI).
As the premiere biology competition for high school students in the United States, the USA Biolympiad enriches the life sciences education of nearly 10,000 talented students annually.
The Teacher Enrichment Program focuses on resources as well as exposure to the breadth and depth of scientific discovery often not available to rural and urban middle and high school teachers and their students.
